Hi

I have a question regarding linking workbooks and sheets. I have created a workbook which I use for P.O.'s for clothing which generates costing import fees etc. This sheet(PO) populates another sheet (Item entry) with the info from the (PO) sheet within the same workbook (this speed link is fine)

I then add photos and names etc to the (Item Entry) sheet which includes links from the PO sheet.

I have then created 2 other workbooks that link back to the original (PO) sheet and (Item Entry) sheet. These 2 workbooks (Receiving & Branding) pull both info and photos from the 2 original sheets.

Hopefully that makes sense, but my question is the speed is slow when i have the PO and one of the receiving or branding sheet open. I have used both picture links and paste links which I realize is the reason for the slowness as that is a lot of info to be linked, but I am wondering if there is a better way to do this, or would a program like Access be better (I have never used Access).

Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful as it takes a while and a lot of sitting around waiting for the coloured wheel to stop spinning. Once i have the files saved and open individually the speed is fine, but as soon as the links between workbooks it slows right down.

(would the size of the photos reduce the waiting time??)
