Running count but ignore blank rows

Column F contains a list of names (citys). There are duplicates and blank rows. I want to have a produce a running count in say column AA such as 1, 2, 3 etc. but ignore blank rows, count only cells that have data. If the count of rows 2-6 contain data the count would be 1 thru 5, if rows 6, 7 and 8 are blank row 9 would start the count with 6 then 7 etc.
