    Excel formula

    Hi,

I'm new to Excel and I need a spreadsheet to calculate time accrued and time taken for 20 employees.

Employees earn hours on each pay period (26 pay periods) as follows:

up to 3 years = 4.03 hours per pay period
    4 - 7 years = 5.92 hours
    8 + years = 6.73 hours

I also need the formula to deduct hours taken with a previous balance included in the formula. The Bi-weekly pay periods must be included on the spreadsheet

    Name: John Doe

    Pay Periods Vacation Vacation Balance
    Accrue Used

    Thank you for your assistance.

Have you done any work on this yet? Please attach a sample of your workbook so we don't need to re-create your data to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace any sensitive info before uploading the file.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)
