Change Hourly Weather Data to Simulate 15 minute increments

    Hi all,
I have a dataset of sampled values in 15 minute increments that I want to preserve as 15 minute increment data.
I have a dataset of weather values (temperature and precipitation) in hourly increments. I would like to take these hourly values and figure out a way to 'create' 15 minute data out of them. Is there a way to interpolate the values to simulate change over time, after inserting the requisite number of rows?

My hope is that I can then take the hourly data, now re-formatted to 15 minute increments, and simply copy/paste into my master data sheet without too much pain.

I'm sure there's a way to do this - I just haven't found it yet.

    Thanks for the help.

Attached is a sample of the data.

Hi Dana_Watershed, will this do the trick?

edit: As soon as I posted this I realised I hadn't done the prec. column properly.
I amended the formula but it created errors, let me know whether the temps came out they way you'd like at least.

    Hi there,

I have a similar problem, but couldn't solve it with the formula provided. Any chance one of you could have a look or has an easy way how to interpolate hourly solar output data to 15-min increments?

    Thanks
