    ActiveX control - Cannot insert object

    I am attempting to insert an ActiveX control in Excel 2007 but receive the following message: Cannot insert object?

    Close all your Office apps, search your computer for files with .exd extension (NOT .exe !!) and delete them. Then try again. Note you will need to include hidden and system files and folders in the search.
