    Sum Values (Merging Data)

    Hi there,

I am trying to merge customer data into one key account. Let's say I have data from following individual branch offices:

    Anglo-Eastern Ship Management Ltd (HKG)
    Anglo-Eastern (Antwerp) NV
    Anglo-Eastern (Germany) GmbH
    Anglo-Eastern (UK) Limited
    Anglo-Eastern Maritime Services Pte Ltd
    Anglo-Eastern Shipmanagement (Singapore)Pte Ltd

I would like to sum the values for all cells containing the text "Anglo-Eastern", in any form, into one cell. This might be any easy exercise. Have tried various If formulas and vlookup, but how can I easily get one cell to merge all data from above cells.

    Thanks,
    Mackan7695

assume your criteria in Range A1:a6 and values to add in range b1:b6
    then
    =SUMPRODUCT(--(LEFT(A1:A6,13)="Anglo-Eastern"),B1:B6)
