    Hashs appear when printing

Now this is going to be an awkward one to explain and I myself do not have a copy of the file to upload.

As part of my role I am currently supporting a number of systems, spreadsheets etc some of which I dont even have access to (this being one!) however I can access it to put any fix in should it be needed.

So today Ive received the following problem for an interest calculator we have.

"I can calculate the interest and it works fine, showing the correct amount of interest due on screen. However when I try and print this (a copy needs to go to customer) it prints out a lot of ##### rather than the figures?

I have used my colleague's computer and it works fine. My colleague then used my computer and it worked fine for him.

So it must be something to do with my profile and my computer only?

I have only had this problem since Windows 7"

Many of the systems were written in Excel 2003 (on XP) and we've now moved to 2013 (on Win7) but as in the above case, the persons colleagues and PCs will also have been updated so it doesnt seem related to that?

I know this is usually just because the field isnt big enough to display the data but in this case it appears to be machine/profile dependant....

    anyone have any ideas?

    It denotes insufficient Column Width.

Just Widen the columns and Check it in print preview

As per my post though, in this case its not down to insufficient length, the values appear fine on screen and in Print Preview and also are fine when printed from another machine while logged in on the users profile and when another user prints from this machine. So its not the straight forward issue, its not a PC issue or a profile one but more a combination of all 3?

Wouldnt that cause the problem still though when logged on 2nd PC?

All of our profiles etc are of a predefined (and strictly controlled) setup so everyone should be exactly the same, its definitely worth a look though.

I take it that this is on a network. Your profile when using your computer is on your computer and not the network. When you log onto the network, there is a profile there outlining for example your read-write privileges, access to folders etc. If you go to another computer and still cannot get the values to print correctly, it is probably a network setup issue with your network account. If however you can print properly, I suspect strongly that something is wrong with your local profile on your computer.
