[Excel 2010]: SUMIF? VLOOKUP? Help needed!

Hi guys,

I would really appreciate your input on my little problem. This might be a really easy one for many of you but my Excel skills don't help me solve this problem.

The situation is as follows: There is an estimate for the development of Social Media followers within a company over the next two years (Year 1 and Year 2). The company is active in several countries, e.g. the UK and the US. I would now like to add an additional cell below the table that is a kind of summary table (i.e. what is happening in Year 1 and Year 2 overall and not split by country). I know for that purpose I could just manually add all Facebook followers in the UK and the US for year; but this gets really exhausting when I'm not only looking at those two countries but 100+.

So my question is: Is there any automated formula that helps me adding up total social media followers per channel, e.g. if year 1 (no matter which country), then add up all facebook numbers?

I would try Pivot Table.

would you mind telling me what I would have to enter as a formula, e.g. for summing up all Facebook followers in year 1?

Please use this formula =SUMPRODUCT((F10:F11="Facebook")*(G9:J9="year 1")*(G10:J11)).
