Hey Guys I have a bit of a dummy question. I have created a rule for a column that states that if a date in one particular cell is less than todays date the cell will become red. I want to add to this making it so this cell's highlighting is removed if another particular cell contains any date, but I don't know how. Any advice? Hope this makes sense.

Please clarify.
Your header says the criteria should check a cell for TEXT, your details says the check should be for a DATE.

Sorry about that, my bad. I have attached (hopefully) a screen shot. I essentially want the red highlighting in Column H to disappear is there is a date in column G.

You probably need to use AND() for this...
=AND(A1<TODAY(),B1<>"")
