How display percentage change of two different times

Hi

If you see in the image: http://imgur.com/4xW1GHY - I have two different times. I am trying to find the percentage change of the 2nd one to the 1st one without resulting in a weird number. Does anyone know what the quick formula would be? Sorry, bit of an excel newbie!

Hi, welcome to the forum

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

Thanks for that! I just uploaded a sample of what I meant. I tried creating a formula but it doesn't work properly. Any suggestions how to fix it?

Ops sorry, the sheet is 'All segments', please ignore 'Mainspreadsheet', that was for something else!

We probably need more examples -- when it works correctly and when it doesn't. I don't see any reason why the formula in A2 should not work for any time serial number that is entered. When it doesn't work, it is probably because A4 or A5 do not contain the value you think they contain. I might suggest something like this http://www.cpearson.com/Excel/datetime.htm#SerialDates as an introduction to how Excel stores dates/times as serial numbers (fractional portion of the number represents time).
