copy and paste data in another column in next empty cell

If you are not talking about a way to automate this, then an attempt at a solution would be to select the first cell within the column that you which to populate, and then press CTRL+DOWN ARROW to send you to the last populated row within that column. Then just hit down again to select the empty cell to paste new data.
