Using Access with Excel?

Hi,

I have an Excel file that holds quite a lot of data which is increased each month by the addition of more records.

This data is then analysed in another worksheet in the file.

When, if ever, would it be advantageous to use Microsoft Access to store the data to be analysed in Excel?

What is "a lot of data"?

Less than 2000 rows and a couple of hundred columns.

This is not really a lot of data. Depending on what you want to do XL can handle it. Could you be a bit more explicit as to your goals?
