I have an excel file that gets an error "excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content" every time we open it this past week. The file has worked properly for the 2 years. The most recent addition would be using data connections from our switch to an application (but it worked for over a week without an issue). I attempted to troubleshoot by removing the data connections/saving as a different file name and the error pops up each time it is opened. This issue happens on other users PC. Please see screen shot.

Have you tried renaming it - that little trick has saved me countless grief
