Question Allocated Forecasted Hours Between Dates

    Hi,

Working to create a template that can allocate foretasted hours between specified dates, such as Start & Finish dates.

I'm curious to know how this can be done or there are templates are available.

Although this is a very simplified example, I'm looking for a function that can evenly distribute forecasted hours weekly or bi-weekly, such as taking
12 forecasted hours over 4 weeks with duration between:

    11/03/14 or FW 45 to 11/24/14 or FW 48

    Thanks

I timephase hours between stop and start dates often, but it took a formula with 6 if statements and adjusts for holidays, but once you create it once, the template can be used numerous times.
If you have the time periods on the top row and start/stop and hours on the first column you can do =IF(OR(hours = "0", start date >= the end of the time period, end date <= the start of the time peiod), then = 0, else take the hours being spread / hours available in the time period between start and stop dates * hours in this time period)

There is a website of Office Templates. See if any of these look promising for you.

Re: Allocated Forecasted Hours Between Dates

    Hi,

I didn't mention this before. The plan is use this template for Purchase Order request by taking the lump sum estimated hours (as whole numbers), then allocate or distribute over the specified start & finish dates weekly or biweekly.

Hopefully, this will clarify my intents.

    Thanks

Question Re: Allocated Forecasted Hours Between Dates

    Hi,

I attached an example file for someone to assist with.

As you will see in Column B, I have a column of forecasted hours. I'm looking to allocated or distribute these hours between the Start & End Dates specified, with option to allocated weekly or bi-weekly (controlled within Column F).

    Thanks
