Lightbulb Expanding Allocated Memory to a Workbook

I have 24G of memory on my tower but, I believe, each session of Excel can only accommodate 2G.
In my Windows 7 environment and Excel 2010, is there a way to allocate more memory to a particular Excel session.

Smile Re: Expanding Allocated Memory to a Workbook

    Dear Richard,

Thank you for your great advice and guidance. I have carefully weighed the pros and cons of moving to the 64 bit Excel and have decided that it is my only option given the complexity and memory demanding nature of my application set. One of my first reactions to reading the article is that Microsoft sometimes gives me the impression that they are pushing commercialism ahead of backward integration. One of these symtoms bears out when I see out how difficult is is to load the 64 bit Microsoft Office 2010. It;'s sort of like they don't want you to bother with it yet since the rest of the relevant architecture hasn't caught up with it.
Anyway, I have determined that it is impossible to convert to the 64 bit without the disk, which I can't find. So I guess I am going to have to purchase another copy. The x64 folder located on the disk is, apparently, the only way to load the 64 bit version. I am hoping that during the loading process that there might be some reminder window the removes the old 32 bit material from my tower. I would prefer that the setup program do that for me.

I can install the 64 bit excel , and buy a superior hardware, for my excel: but the data feed of stocks i take from does not work with 64 bit excel.
