How to retrieve the values of cells (with the same address) of many Excel files

Hi, I have many files from the same model: XX01.xls, XX02.xls, ... XX99.xls

I want to get the values of cell at the address of Sheet1!C10 for all these files. I can do it manually one by one, but this involves so much trouble.

Is there a clever way to do it? thanks.

put the attached file in the same folder as your files.

Hi, sorry to re-open this thread. I have two questions:

1) I ran the macro and found some of the sources file are automatically opened during the process of fetching data.

2) If some source files do not have the 'Sheet1' tab, then the macro failed with an error.

Can the macro be improved for the two questions? Thank you
