Developing a list from table

Hi All,

Not sure if this is possible by formulas, maybe with a macro but I would prefer to use formulas. Essentially I have a day shift and night shift table/callendar for the month and I would like to create a list of all the combinations of Date, Shift, and Person, in chronological order.

The example spread sheet shows the two tables and I have manually created the resulting list for the first 5 days of the month which I would like to be able to generate for the entire month. This process will be repeated often and thus I want to automate the process a bit. I have a feeling a macro is in need. If so dcould someone provide me with some example coding to get me started.

I've written a macro called CrossTabToTable that will convert what you have to what you want. See the 3 step sheets and let me know if it is good enough to do your problem.

Top job mate, I was working on it myself and got as far as getting the data into a table similar to what you suggested, Looks like it will do just what I want. You have saved me hours! CHAMP. Works a charm. I have so many applications for this macro.

I also like the idea of being able to select the number of fixed columns.
