Clash of Clans - tracking war stats

I am tracking biweekly events and want to rank the players in our game of Clash of Clans. So far I have only created a simple format for the single events. I am looking to see how to bring the data into an ongoing average on a master page. I would need to have a page to enter the current game onto while the last game kinda moves over. This way I have the old games saved.
Also, trying to think a way to weight the peoples scores. There are a few metrics, their difficulty level, the destruction they got and the number of stars they got.
There are two matches each worth up to 3 stars so a total of 6 is available. This is most important because it is how you win. However, we also need to see how difficult the matches the player chose are. The easiest matches are the highest negative number to the hardest match ups which are positive numbers.
Open to any ideas on how to move forward with this sheet.

Could you expand on "to bring the data into an ongoing average on a master page" ?

Re: Clash of Clans - tracking war stats

    Hey RCM,
What I mean is that I want a summary page or tab so that as I add additional events, at the rate of two per week, I want the avg stars and difficulty level and other stats to be averaged to create one ranking for each player for all events combined. I don't want to have to manually add the data for a new war into the existing data after every battle.

The other thing I realized is that while the difficulty level is a good determination in any particular war I cant simply average them because there are always a different number of team mates. So a rating of -3 in one event might actually be much better then that ranking in the next event.

The first sheet is the report ... just change the month and the year and it will update automatically. The top section I update manually
The second sheet is a list of all the players who have been through the clan ... Column AT on the fourth sheet tells you if you need to add someone. The first report runs of people who have fought at least 5 wars in the month so just filter to 5 and greater. Just insert a line and copy formulaes down
The third sheet is the war summary - just insert a line, copy the line above down, change the date and the opponent name and update the destruction % for each clan at the end of the war
The fourth sheet is the individual war details. Just create enough lines for the number of people in the war, update the names, enter the attack details, the points against, attacks against and zero star attacks. EVERYTHING else takes care of itself.
The fifth sheet is just the lookups for the drop downs on the front sheet ...

All good. Only takes a few minutes at the end of each war to update. Some cool Excel techniques in there for anyone who cares to look.

Re: Clash of Clans - tracking war stats

Sure enough... did a search looking for a spreadsheet to track CoC war performance and found this post. This spreadsheet blows my mind Jack!!! Been looking at it for over an hour and its insane! I would like to try to use it track my clan, but I'm not an advanced excel user. I cant even figure out how to enter the war history on sheet 4. You say above to just create enough lines for the number of people in the war, but I'm unsure about how to "create" them. Each war you have recorded has the red line at the top with war #, date and opponents name that it seems to get from the war. The is also a yellow bar at the bottom of each war. I was able to enter the summery info okay with inserting and copying the line above down, but that wont work on the details page with the red and yellows lines there I can just copy the line down. Can you please give me a little more direction? I am still overwhelmed by your work and hopeful that I can use it to help better my clan. Thanks so much!

Unfortunately your post does not comply with Rule 2 of our Forum RULES. Do not post a question in the thread of another member -- start your own thread.

If you feel an existing thread is particularly relevant to your need, provide a link to the other thread in your new thread.

Re: Clash of Clans - tracking war stats

I apologize. I was unaware of this rule and was hoping that JackyBoy is also subscribed to this topic as I have a specif question on his spreadsheet he posted here and how he uses it within his clan. I'd like to mention that like Jack, I found this topic via Google which lead to both us becoming new forum members. I imagine others will do the same and may have similar questions. I wouldn't have thought to search the forum looking for answers about this particular spreadsheet.

It was not my intention to hijack a topic from 2014. Jack was able to offer a solution that I imagine would have knocked the socks off the original topic author (knocked mine off). Jack obvious passion for Clash of Clans played as much a role in his solution as his mastery of Excel. Hopeful you will consider to allow this topic to continue for that reason. Thanks and again, I apologize for the violation.

We just saying that you will get a faster answer by opening a new thread.

I'm aware you find this by Google and someone else might too.
But if someone open new question, without this rule, he might get a hundreds new questions. Probably somewhere some answer. But totally unnecessary.
Imagine this for every other question in the Forum.

Users deserve to have their own threads. Answered or not. Usefull or not. In general or specific...

So the answer is no. No exception for the rule.
But I will add link to other thread so people can find it.
