Request one of you Excel guru's who can assist an old engineer. I run Excel 2010 and prefer non-VBA solutions.
I have a large database of PASS/FAIL data for electronic items we build and test. At the beginning of each month I must scroll through numerous spreadsheets to determine a products First Pass Yield. For example in Column A I have test names. In column B will be a string which will either have PASS or FAIL. In column C I have a date stamp. Column D will have a unique serial number for the test part. If a part fails it goes into a repair loop and gets retested. We can test an item multiple times at different times of the month. I am interested only in the first time it is tested and whether the part PASSED, if so increment a cell. We often times can have the same part being retested up to 6 times.
What I'm asking for is a counter which will record the number of units tested which PASSED on its initial/first test. The 1st retest, 2nd retest, 3rd retest....and so on do not matter only the first time the unit is tested and it PASSED.
