Autofill adjacent cell after choose from Drop Down List

Hello. I'm created worksheet2 (Excel 2013) to track items ordered from a drop down list pulled from worksheet1. Now I want for the item description which is in the adjacent column to the item in source worksheet1 to auto fill on worksheet2 once the person has chosen form the drop down list the item. Any ideas. I tried VLOOKUP but I may be doing it wrong because it didn't work.
