    Is this number out of range of Excel? It seems to miss some digits at the end

    Paste this number into your Excel : 498086705447011044810

    It changes last 5 digits to 0. So after pasting this is what you see : 498086705447011000000

    I don't think this number is over the range specified by Microsoft. Refer this : http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...010342495.aspx

    Can anyone tell me what's going on ? Why is Excel changing the original number.

    excel can only take 15 digit numbers. After that, it replaces the remaining numbers with 0
