I would like to sort my table so that all rows whose column D is empty end up on the bottom so I can delete them easier.
Would it be possible to do that?

see attached - sorting.xlsx
basically, just apply "auto-filter" on top row and then sort for descending based on Column D. That should bring all the rows with 'empty' value in Column D to the bottom.
HTH!
Something like this? Using array formulas or simple way, here the step:
1. First block your area table you need to sort, and right click with your mouse and choose "Sort" and the choose "Custom Sort"
2. On "Sort By Column", choose "D"
3. And click "Ok"
Hope this helps
