    Indirect function for external referencing

    G'day excel forum

I am attempting to generate a spreadsheet that can reference to other spreadsheets using a function.

The clinch is there are many other spreadsheets and I can't set up a new link every time I need to link to a new one, I've been attempting instead to generate a function that will assemble itself automatically based on a number of details entered into the primary spreadsheets aptly named 'Details Input' table being combined using a simple equation (=("'"&E11&"\["&E12&" "&E10&".xlsx]"&E13&"'!"&E14)).

I'm attempting to use the 'INDIRECT' function to achieve this but so far have had no luck.

Does anyone out there have any idea where I'm going wrong with this? Or if such a function is even possible?

    Cheers

    Hello,
as I noticed, you make one fatal mistake in reference INDEX formula. Before equal sign = you should delete first blank character. Meaning formula should start with equal sign, not any other char.
All other specification are okay ( a little bit more parenthesis, but still okay).
