Excel search to return a location formula or macro??

Good morning everyone,

I interested in trying to be able to search a database (Worksheet) with a formula OR for that matter maybe a macro.

Example...Lottery db 1

In rows B5:G2145 are my combinations (DONE IN ROWS), now in cells K20,L20,M20,N20,O20,P20, I would input the numbers of the combination I was looking for (K20=1/L20=2/M20=3/N20=4/O20=5/P20=6) TO find in my DB which is from B5:G2145 and return the location of 1-2-3-4-5-6 in R20, WHICH would reference a date found in column A5:A2145.

Now the tricky part, lets say only part of the combination is found, like either the FIRST (2 or 3) numbers or the LAST (2 or 3) numbers in reference to cells K20,L20,M20,N20,O20,P20. Is there a way this formula OR macro could tell me with a pop up window [" Only part of combo found" IN "date of"]

Would a Macro be better than a formula for this OR is it better to use a formula??

I am using xls 2010 and tired to be as specific as possible so someone could help me. Personally I believe this will have to be a Macro as I know a formula can only do so much. If someone could help me construct this I would greatly appreciate this.
