Switching Between Sort Orders

    Hi,

How can I correctly alphabetize one worksheet in German and another in Swedish?

    have you tried sorting them?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Gee, thanks. It DID occur to me to give it a try. But you see, the thing is Germans and Swedes order their letters differently. To give an example, "ö" is sorted last in Swedish (that is, WAY after z), and together with "o" in German.

Daft question. What happens if you change the regional settings on your machine to Sweden and sort the Swedish list; then switch regional settings and repeat for the German list?

I assume that "sort" works for Swedes in Sweden, etc, etc....

That's not a solution, that's finger painting. Am I supposed to juggle regional settings every time I add a row to either worksheet?
What if there are ten worksheets in ten languages? What if there's no regional setting for that particular language?

There is ABSOLUTELY no need to get grumpy. I was making a suggestion in good faith.

    Good luck and goodbye.

Calling questions "daft" strikes me as a poor strategy. That said, thanks for the effort. Bye.
