Is there a way to change the color of excel scroll bar sliders ?

IS THERE A WAY TO CHANGE THE COLOR OF EXCEL SCROLL BAR SLIDERS TO MAKE THEM MORE VISIBLE [i.e.] LESS INVISIBLE?

If you using ActiveX scroll bar you can change color by going to Design Mode, Properties and change BackColor settings.

thanks but I have no idea even what ActiveX is. guess I will have to live with the way it is.
excel is so complex and so good, I don't understand how such an obvious desirable visual aid feature could be overlooked ... or not fixed by now. but that's reality.

Maybe..try changing the 'Office theme' under options to a colour that makes them more prominent

that helped a lot. the scroll bar is now grey [the only alternate color choice] and the slider is white...so it's much easier to see.

You might be able to change the colour of all sliders and a lot of other settings if you are using Windows Basic Theme. Instructions are found here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/29244...-in-windows-7/

The area to do this is found under Personalization, Window Color, Advanced Appearance Settings.
