1 Sheet slow to respond within workbook

Hello,

1st post due to a problem I can't fix. I'll try to keep it brief.

Excel sheet (simple sheet, no formula or inserts although a large text box) created on Mac in Excel 2011 (365). Moved to a windows PC running XP & Excel 2003. Inserted into a wookbook of identical sheets. You can edit all the sheets apart from the inserted sheet which is slow to respond to commands, sucking up 100% of the CPU usage to complete the command - say 5 seconds.

Copied workbook to another PC running the same (XP & Excel 2003) and it works fine.

Would appreciate any comments.

No, It was a brand new sheet. I've also checked to see if there are any formulae loose in the sheet... nothing. Also bare in mind the sheet/workbook works fine on a identical machine it was then copied to from the problem machine.

Im wondering if it is something to do with the minimum specification of the windows machine. Would a converted 2003 xls file (from 2011) have problems running on XP?

I have had problems with this machine becoming unresponsive with excel, but some custon installs off the microsoft website solved those. I've gone back to that well, but it's dry.
