doing additions subtractions

iam using ms excel2007 .i have a problem as i could not do additions and general calculations with excel.tell me what are general formulas and how to fix this problem

Welcome to the Forum.

Other than the link provided by jewelsharma ,to give you an idea, suppose you have 6 in A1 and 2 in B1 (i.e. A1=6 and B1=2), then in C1 try the below formulas for different maths operations....


For Sum in C1

This will give you C1=8.

For Subtraction in D1

This will give you D1=4.

For Multiplication in E1

For Division in F1

Same way you can perform other maths operations on the cells A1 and B1.
