Active X control buttons changing to width=0 when unhide columns

Hello,

ive scoured the web and found that many people have had this problem but with no real solution.
those threads were posted over 2 years ago so im hoping theres a way around it now.

On my worksheet I have a set of 10 active X control buttons one on top of the other.
The columns these buttons are in are sometimes hidden and unhidden. If the workbook is saved and closed when the buttons are in a hidden state, then when re-opened and unhidden, the buttons have almost disappeared. The width of the buttons automatically reduces to 0.

can anyone explain why and how to prevent this from happening.

This may be happening if the Active X Controls are set to "Move & Size with Cells".
Try changing this to "Don't Move or Size with Cells". This can be done by Right Click Active X Control --> Format Control --> Properties [see attached - Snip.PNG]

Also, please share your workbook if anything.
