Should be using Excel or Access to make Price Lists for my office?

Excel seems like the easy answer, but with the following caveats:

    - password so editing is limited to only a few users
    - accessible on Dropbox or such

It's supposed to be a simple system with maybe ten to twenty thousand entires over a dozen brands.

What would be recommended for the long run?

    Thanks for any advice!

Access is more "proffesional" tool with much more abbilities than Excel, but need experience in programming to use it.

Excel is more flexible too and easier to work with that.

As per your describtion of your needs, my suggestion is to go with Excel application.
