    Compatibility Issue

    Hi,

I am using excel 2003 and excel 2010 in my work computer. Excel 2003 is always running in the background as timesheet programme with linked worksheets are continuously put on for my colleagues to work, whereas the base sheet is with me. When i try to open workbooks in excel 2010 version it directly goes to excel 2003 and the file does not open properly or in readable format. Also incoming mails with attachments in higher versions also goes directly to excel 2003 and will not open. Even though i try to open it on excel 2010 it goes directly to 2003. Please Help!

    Re: Compatibility Issue

Yes you will face this issue when you have multiple versions of office installed on your machine.

Me too having 2003 and 2010 in my machine and I handle this issue by opening the files from the concerned office version by pressing Ctrl+O from 2003/2010 excel application

    Re: Compatibility Issue

Have you tried right clicking and selcting Open with? I think depending on your version of windows you can do this if you hold shift whilst right clicking.
