Good Morning, I am new here so I hope I am in the right area.

I have a user who has been getting a personal.xlsb file is locked for editing error.
He is also getting an unexpected error has occurred. AutoRecover has been disabled for this session error.
Errors were detected while saving - directory listed -MS Excel may be able to save the file by removing or repairing features.

They are set up on a network that is using folder redirection. We are redirecting the desktop,documents,contacts, etc.
They are using macros heavily and we cant just delete the personal.xlsb file
we tried to unhide it, make it read only and we tried to share it. (all internet suggestions)
I reinstalled the app.
We only see on instance of Excel.exe running in services/processes
Deleted it and recreated it

Couple of prelim questions:
Can I redirect where excel looks for the personal file? Possibly to a local directory that is not redirected?
Is there anything else I can do to remedy the error?

Any help will be greatly appreciated AND any other info I can provide please let me know.
