incorporating a cell value in an IF Function

    Hi all.

I am trying to use the IF function to apply one of three calculated values into 1 call.

I have tried using =IF(sum(A1A1:B1B1)>57, the the cell that contains the required amount.

The trouble is using a defined number.

Is there a way to overcome this.

    Thanks.

Re: incorporating a cell value in an IF Function

    Thanks Humdingaling.

Didn't quite get my issue across initially.

The value "if true" that I am looking to incorporate is the product of a calculation in a specific cell and not a set number. This number will vary each time the spreadsheet is used for a new project and will reflect profit for a specific part of the job. Is there a way to allow the cell reference to be picked up?

    Thanks.
