How to link a specific worksheets in excel to power point and avoiding update link in ppt

Hi,

Can anyone help me how to link a specific worksheets/chart to power pint.
e.g. I have 10 excel worksheets consist of different data & chart to be linked to power point.

I have tried in insert > Object > create from file > browse > Filename , tick link box.

However, it will always go to the last worksheets saved instead of specified worksheets

I'm NOT asking for hyperlink but link object directly to power point. Data & chart is pasted to slide instead of clicking to view the data/chart (in hyperlink)

e.g. in Hyperlink we can do like this c:\windows\desktop\book1.xls#sheet3!A1 very easy.

Correct me if i'm wrong. With Insert Object linked in power point to excel, The object linked will be always go to the last worksheets saved.

e.g.
I have 3 worksheets in workbook. Each worksheets has different data & chart. How link all data chart into single power point file.

Insert > Object > create from file > browse > Filename , tick link box. will always go to the last worksheets saved. how about the rest of worksheets ?


One more thing, the linked object power point file will be always prompt update links every time the file is opened. is there any VB code such as in excel we can use Application.DisplayAlerts = False to disable it.

I really confused. it looks simple but not easy


e.g. There are 3 worksheets in workbook.

if let's say "sheet1" is workbook open event, I have to always ensure "sheet1" will be the last Activesheet before saved & close the workbook. otherwise, ppt slide may go to wrong data & charts.(from other worksheets)

Then, the rest data & charts which manually copy and paste "Use destination theme / keep source of formatting & Link Data" from sheet2 & sheet3 not updated. I have to click "Edit Data" one by one to run the latest update.



However I have found this macro to auto update, but not running on auto update once file is opened. I m not sure what went wrong with Auto_open()
