That's not particularly large.
What's more important is what is the workbook doing.
Are there any macros running for instance?
Are you using any array formulae?
What do you mean by too slow? By whose standard.
Are we talking several seconds or minutes to calculate

no macros, no array formulaes, slow, very slow, many many minutes.
I have sent it to access and it works very much faster.
