Get Excel to Reference a Cell In a Word Table

Hi, I know this maybe a bit out there, but was wondering if the following is possible. I currenlty have a form (inherited) that was created in Excel, but with Excel's cell limitations is has limited capabilities. I have recreated the form in word, but there is a need to reference the table cell so that the contents from the word table are displayed in an excel tracker sheet. Is this possible. ??
