Sum values belonging to the same group

Hello

I have to perform the sum of some values. In particular I want to sum only values that belongs to the same group (indicated by a value in a column) (see the attached file).
Do you know how can I do it avoiding the pivots?

Hi,

With your group ID references in E2:E4, in F2 copied down

Formula:

=SUMIF(B2:B7,E2,C2:C7)

Incidentally, don't dismiss pivot tables just because maybe you don't really understand them or find them difficult. They are extremely powerful and efficient.
