converting computer language and importing into excel

I have a Horse Racing software program that stores data on my C drive. It's basically results from horse races showing all sorts of stats, as well as text i.e Name of horse, jockey etc. When I dble click on the data stored, it opens in Wordpad as a stream of computer language. Is there a way to convert this data back into English and then paste/import it into excel, so I can perform graphing and other queries?

    Thanks.

    What is the file format/extention?
Have you tried to open it FROM excel?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

It has a the software name as an extension so maybe it's encrypted? I've attached a jpg of the style of characters. Opening it in excel does not convert the characters either.Computer language.JPG

That might be encrypted, or it could just be that excel cannot translate it

Does the program give you the option to "Export" files or save as CSV files? What is the name and extension of the file you double clicked? What is the name of the actual program?
