Lunch & Break Timetable

Hi

I am looking to construct a table with 5 different shift patterns for 12 different employees, and dependant on what shift pattern they are in will show what break / lunch they should take.

basically - shifts are:

07:30 - 15:30
08:00 - 16:00
08:30 - 16:30
09:00 - 17:00
09:30 - 17:30

and along the top row would be Monday - Friday

If I made a drop down list of employee names for each corresponding timeslot of each day, I want a table below that would show "if employee is on shift 1 then their break is 1st of the day" and so on. Therefore, as shift patterns rotate for employees it will print a separate table each week showing the breaks, Which would automatically update if the shift pattern changed.

Im reckoning its VLookup but Im just looking for guidance

Welcome to the forum.

I believe that the attached (using vlookups) may be your answer.

Note that the "iferror" statement does not work on pre-2007 versions of Excel (and you have not stated what version you are using.
