    Keyboard shortcuts

    Hi everyone,

I've looked for a thread on this already as I thought it might have been covered before but I've had no luck.

I know how to lock a specific cell for a formula, for example F4 locking the cell for when a formula is dragged. I assume there is another shortcut/way to lock the column or lock the row rather than the cell, could anyone be of any help please?

    thanks,

    Re: Keyboard shortcuts

Pressing F4 once will lock column and row, pressing F4 twice will lock only the row and pressing F4 three times will lock only the column (i.e. pressing F4 multiple times will cycle through the "locking" options).

    Re: Keyboard shortcuts

$A$2 locks the cell, $ before the column ($A2) locks the column, $ before the row (A$2) locks the row and of course A2 isn't locked in any way.

EDIT: which BTW, are the keyboard shortcuts that ragulduy notes above.

    Re: Keyboard shortcuts

BTW, you didn't mention if you use PC or iMac but there are different shortcuts for iMac which you can find here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ma...102927337.aspx
I have PC at home and work, and iMac at home too. (in case you're interested or come across someone w/a Mac.)
and thanks for the bump to my rep.
