    Linking to cell in 2nd spreadsheet

    Can anyone tell me the syntax to refer to the value of a particular cell in another, unopened spreadsheet for its value? Thanks.

    Hi,

    The quickest method for you to determine this yourself is to have two workbooks open, choose a cell in one, type = then click on some cell in the other and press ENTER.

    Save and close the second workbook and your formula will now display the required syntax.
