Help with transferring table data into meaningful list

Hi there,

Attached I have a worksheet with a repeated list of countries, and a running total of cases received, as taken from a section of the table next to it. What I would like to be able to do is breakdown the running total into individual cases, and assign a corresponding country to that case, as would appear in column C. For example, from rows 3-12 (1-10 cases) I would like Australia to appear, and then Singapore etc. Would anyone have a formula preferably to do this? If a formlua doesn't work, I would be welcome to Macro ideas.

This is my first time here so any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks!
Alistair

Hi and welcome to the forum

For example, from rows 3-12 (1-10 cases) I would like Australia to appear
What would be the logic behind that?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Hi Ford,
Thanks for the welcome. Its part of a bigger problem/attempt to try and track these cases as they get sent to a particular machine. Say for example Machine 1 takes in the first 21 cases, Machine 2 the next 21 and so on for 10 machines. Ideally I would like to know which cases are on which machine, so I know when they will be finished. I have all the data on which machine would have the certain case number and when they will finish, I just need to combine it with when and where they are coming from. Does that make sense?

I thought once I have this list that I could match up according to case numbers.

Let me know if anything else would be helpful to say.

Here is a sheet with the data I would like to match it up to. So if the case falls between 0-21, I would like to ultimately display: Machine 1, Day/Time Recieved, Day/Time finished.

Thanks!
