Link a cell with a word to another workbook

Hey guys,

So I know how to link a cell to another work and make it change in one workbook as you change it in the first.

What I'm trying to do is link a cell in a workbook with another but make it appear in the other only when I type a certain word in that cell.

I have to different workbooks going currently; one is an inventory workbook (that is constantly getting updated for what is in the shop, out in use, or in repair), the other is a comparison workbook that I want only what is currently in stock in the shop to show up in.
In the inventory workbook I have a column for the status of the parts with the options of either shop, repair, or rig.

I want for the cell that says "shop" and the row its in with its data about the part to show up in my other workbook, and whenever it gets used and is labeled "repair" or "rig" for it to not show up in the comparison workbook.

How do I do this? Sorry if it is confusing, I explained it the best I could but if you do have any questions to help answer it please ask!
