Can you upload your workbook? It will make coming up with a solution much easier.

    Dear kheino1111,
I am unable to follow exactly what you would like to achieve - can you please exemplify your requirement (and attach a sample spreadsheet with the details). This would enable everyone to comprehend your request & help them help you in turn.

    Warm regards,
    Jewel

what I want to happen is:

when I type in a paddock name (that matches a paddock in the rotation sheet) & type in a year it will bring up value

    Re: Vlookup multiple ways

yes but only need to have the one paddock name as in my other spreadsheet the paddock name is linked with the sheet name and then linked via a vlookup formula to the rotation spreadsheet.
I will be wanting to add the years across

    Re: Vlookup multiple ways

No problem! Just change the cell reference for the second cell to the first paddock name
