    formulating minutes 13:33 or :45 in an excel cell and getting a total for cell

    i am working on a excel spreadsheet inputting numbers that have been formatted to minutes in the format cell selection under time then i chose 13:33 for example using the semicolon however when i go to total those numbers i.e. 1:47 , :33, 6:78, :33 its not giving me the correct total for those entries i.e. 14:34 and the total is completely off. can someone help thanks

    Can you upload an example worksheet (Go Advanced>Manage Attachments)

    substitute commas with semi-colons if your region settings requires

    Try adding a column which multiplies the minutes cells by 24 and summing that.
