    Formula/cond format to calculate 12 month expiries

    Hi,

    I would like the attached spreadsheet to identify when certain dates are 12 months plus, from 'today'. So if Employee 1 was last sick on 24th February 2013, I'd like it to flag up (preferably as another colour), as this will not be included in the 12 month rolling year. Please see attached which hopefully will help.

    Thanks!

    Hello

    Does this formula works for you?

    Formula: copy to clipboard
    =$B5<TODAY()-365

    How can you use Conditional Formating.

    --In Excel 2007 and 2010, Conditional Formatting is in the Styles group on the Home tab. In Excel 2003, Conditional Formatting is on the Format menu. See here how you can work using CF.

    Hi,

    Thank you Fotis1991. Not exactly, only because I still want to have the 'expiry' date showing, only flagged up as expired by the colour.

    Hi Fotis1991,

    I have attached an updated spreadsheet. The orange cells show those that have now expired i.e. 12 months or more...and the others in column D which aren't orange are still withing 12 months.

    Does this help?

    To say the true..NO.

    In column D you use this formula

    Formula: copy to clipboard
    =NOW()+364

    and you get some coloured cells.

    Isn't this the expected result?

    Re: Formula/cond format to calculate 12 month expiries

    Hi,

    I need to be able to manually input the dates in column D, therefore I am unable to use a formula in this column...hence why it might be better to conditionally format?

    Thanks

    Ok. It's must be me..but

    you get some coloured cells using a formula in Conditional Formatting rules of column D. Correct?

    Isn't this the expected result?

    If no, then which are the expected results and why?
