    Question VLOOKUP without identical lists

    Hello all,

I have two sheets of data that I am trying to combine as one. However, they do not match exactly and I can't figure out the best way to achieve the results I want without doing it manually.

Sheet 1 (Parking) contains a list of employees with their respective parking arrangements.
Sheet 2 (Staff) contains a list of every employee and their supervisor.

I'm trying to populate Sheet 1 (Parking) with all the employee's supervisors. Now, not every one has parking only those who asked for it and when I did a VLOOKUP the wrong supervisors corresponded to the wrong names. That's my first issue and I can't see why?

Unfortunately the name fields for each sheet do not match in format. Parking being "Firstname Surname" and the Staff one "Surname, Title Firstname" Now I did a VLOOKUP and Range_lookup as true so it should pick it up so am not sure if that is contributory to the error?

    VLOOKUP - Example.xls

This is an example using Simpson characters as the real one use personal data and is too large!
