    estimate dateofbirth

    dear friends,

    I have a database where there is 'date of admission' of patients available. these patients do not know their date of birth. they have provided their estimated age in days or months or years. I would like to have a formula by which i can assign a 'date of birth' to each of them. this 'date of birth' will of course be a rough estimate and can be 1st day of the nearest month. it would allow me to then use the two columns ('date of birth' & 'date of admission') to perform various calculations.

    for eg., if someone says today that their age is 5 years, their estimated 'date of birth' would be 01/02/2009 (01 =first day of month; 02 = the present month - feb, 2009 = 5 years from now which is 2014).
    i would be grateful if you could please provide either a formula or macro.

    thanks.

    @RCM
    I think you mean this
    =DATE(YEAR(NOW())-5;MONTH(NOW());DAY(NOW()))
