the value of a cell is based on the value of different ranges

I am trying to set up a sheet that will look at the value of range c6:c9 and if greater than zero, enter value from b5, but if blank, look at range c10:c13 to see if that value is greater than zero; if so enter the value from b9 unless b9 is blank, then enter value from b5.
I have 4 ranges to look at and enter values to certain cells based on the value of the different ranges.

This a time allocation sheet for multiple work sites and I do not work at all of them daily and some times back and forth between two of them a couple times.
I am trying to get this new sheet to generate new clock in and out times based on the time spent on each when going back and forth.

It is working for me right now, but not automatically as I would like, having to enter a lot of the data manually. So am hoping I can add a new formula or function, or modify the existing ones to make it easier and more user friendly to share with others.

I don't know if what I am asking can really be done, but would like to find out. May have to continue to enter most data manually.

I will try to attach a sample of what I have.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.Book2.xls

Note: The ranges and cells mentioned above are not the actual locations, but are for example only. Sorry if this confuses anyone.

Your explanation does not sync with your workbook:
    1. "... look at c6:c9 if greater than zero ..." but C6:C9 has a date and several string values
    2. "... enter value from b5...", but B5 is blank and you don't specify where the values should go.

Thanks for the input. I used those range address as an example only, will put the real ones here.
Also, the value of b5 (or necessary cell) will be input to the cell that the formula is in.

IN the example, I started with Project A, then Project C, Project B, Project C, Project A, Project D. In the lower section I input the start and stop times for each. Start being the same as the stop for the previous project.

So, I would need to look at the ranges I25:I28, I29:I32, I33:I36 and enter the value of H5 in the proper cell corresponding to the non-zero range. (In this case G9).
I then go to project B, it would have to look at several ranges, and I guess cells H5, H7, H9, and H11, then enter the highest time value in G7. etc..

With what I have right now, If I do not work with project b, for instance, I still have to enter a start and stop time for it so that the other formulas with calculate properly to generate the In and Out times that I enter on my actual time sheet.

Hope this better explains what I am trying to do.

I really do think at this point that I am trying to do something that may not be at all possible. If that is the case, I can accept it; was just hoping for something different without too much hassle with so little experience I have with Excel.

Just wanted to let everyone know I have figured this out! Couldn't find a button or anything to tag this as solved.
