Create Range Name Based on 3 Criteria

    Hi All

I hope someone can help or point me in the right direction.

Is there any way to create a name range based on 3 criteria.

The starting point will be the same at D2, but the number of columns wide and row down will depend on the results in 2 cells. F2=4 and G2=888 (these will change depending on the data to be analysed.

Many thanks for your help and time.

The OFFSET uses a starting point ($D$2) that is 0 rows and 0 columns off (so it stays at $D$2) and then is 888 ($G$2) rows (Height) by 4 ($F$2) columns (Width) assuming you want your data range to be $D$2:$G$889. Of course $G$2 and $F$2 can be variables to whatever you need.

    In name manager use ..

    =D2:INDEX(D2:AA100000,G2,F2))

Note : in your example Cells F2 and G2 lie within the range of data chosen by the name manager ..

Many thanks Chance & Ace for your replies....I will give both a go in the morning.

Ace you are correct the 2 cells would lie within the data range.......I just took 2 references at random without thinking, but in the live spreadsheet they would be outside......I never thought.

Once again many thanks the time and expertise you have given to me.
